For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CHIEF OF POLICE. The Chief of Police of the City of Bethany or his or her designee.
CITY. The City of Bethany.
CITY MANAGER. The City Manager of the City of Bethany or his or her designee.
FILMING ACTIVITY. The staging, shooting, filming, videotaping, photographing, or other similar process conducted for the making of still
photographs, motion pictures, television programs, commercials, music videos, and commercial and non-theatrical film productions.
FILM PERMIT. Written authorization from the city to conduct the filming activity outlined in the permit.
NEWS PURPOSES. Filming or videotaping of news events for television newscasting by reporters, photographers, or camera persons in the employ of a newspaper, news service, or similar entity where the event is not preplanned, and the film or tape is broadcast within 24 hours of the event, not including magazine or documentary programs.
STUDIO. A fixed place of business where filming activities are regularly conducted upon the premises.
