Any signs existing on or after the date of enactment of this chapter, which signs identify a business or activity which no longer exists or a product which is no longer sold on the premises, shall be removed by the owner of the premises upon written notice of the City Building Inspector. The City Building Inspector, upon determining that such sign exists, shall notify the owner of the premises in writing to remove such sign within 30 days of the date of the notice.
