Every person having a license or permit under the provisions of this title shall place and exhibit the same at all times while in force, in some conspicuous part of his or her place of business or taxicab or carry the same on his or her person in the case of solicitors and shall produce or exhibit the same when applying for a renewal thereof, when requested to do so by any inhabitants, police or other official of the city.
