§ 37.40 SYSTEMS ADOPTED.
   The city hereby adopts the provisions of the state law governing the Police Pension and Retirement System and the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund, and amendments thereto, for the purpose of providing the police officers and firefighters of the city with a retirement program. The city agrees to make contributions to the systems in the amounts as are required by law.
