§ 34.05 CALLS; ANSWER AND RECORD.
   (A)   (1)   The Chief shall see that all fire calls within the city are answered. He or she shall use the equipment and firefighters as the occasion requires.
      (2)   The Fire Chief shall see that all fire calls outside the limits of the city are answered when so required by a mutual aid agreement made with the city for fire protection service and he or she shall furnish the personnel or equipment as may be necessary.
      (3)   When answering any fire call outside the limits of the city, the city shall be acting in its governmental capacity as an agent of the state.

   (B)   (1)   The Fire Chief shall make or cause to be made and maintained a record of all calls of whatsoever nature made by the Department showing the nature of the call, the location of the call and whether within or without the limits of the city, the number of firefighters or other personnel taken, whether paid or volunteer, and the time spent on the call.
      (2)   A copy of the record shall be filed with the City Clerk each month covering the month just completed for the use of the Council and City Manager.
