§ 1486.07 EMERGENCY ORDERS.
Whenever the Health Inspector, Fire Inspector or Building Inspector finds that an emergency exists which requires immediate action to protect the public health, he or she may, without notice or hearing, issue an order reciting the existence of the emergency and requiring that action be taken as he or she deems necessary to meet the emergency. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this chapter, the order shall be effective immediately. A person to whom the order is directed shall comply therewith immediately, but upon petition to the Board of Health shall be afforded a hearing as soon as possible. After the hearing, depending upon a finding as to whether or not the provisions of this chapter have been complied with, the Board shall continue the order in effect, modify it or revoke it.
