There is hereby established an executive department of the municipal government, in the Department of Public Works and under the supervision and direction of the Director of Public Works, which shall be known as the Building Department. The Department shall consist of a Director and other assistants, inspectors and employees as the Mayor and Council shall provide by ordinance.
