§ 877.02 LICENSES.
   (A)   Required. No person shall manage, conduct, operate or carry on the business of a veterinary hospital without first obtaining a license therefor.
   (B)   Investigations. Upon receipt of an application for the license required in division (A) hereof, the President of the Board of Health shall cause an investigation to be made as in his or her judgment is necessary for the issuance of a license; provided, however, that the applicant for the license is a licensed veterinarian and the owner or operator of the hospital.
   (C)   Periodic inspections; revocation. Every veterinary hospital conducted, maintained or managed by a person licensed as provided in this section shall at all times be open to inspection by the President of the Board of Health, his or her assistant or any other authorized city official. The President is hereby authorized to inspect the same, or cause inspection thereof to be made, whenever and as often as he or she may deem proper. If, upon inspection, he or she finds the hospital to be conducted, managed or maintained in violation of the terms of application for the license under which the hospital was opened or in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or any health or sanitary ordinance or rule or regulation of the city, then the President shall recommend to the Mayor the revocation of the license. The Mayor shall revoke the same upon the recommendation, or for any good and sufficient cause, after a hearing pursuant to Chapter 292 of these Codified Ordinances.
