For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
SPORTING GOODS STORE. Any building, room, enclosure, premises or place in the city where athletic equipment, fishing tackle, baseball bats, baseballs, footballs, tennis rackets, tennis balls, uniforms or any component parts thereof or other articles used in the conduct or pursuit of sports and athletics are manufactured, made, altered, repaired, sold or offered for sale or given away.
