(A) Definition. For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
PET SHOP or SHOP. Any building, room, enclosure, premises or place in the city where birds, dogs or other similar animals, used as household pets or otherwise for domestic purposes, are sold, offered for sale or given away, or where food, supplies, equipment or other similar articles for animals are manufactured, made, altered, repaired, sold or offered for sale or given away.
(B) Scope. This chapter applies only to places or establishments not already especially licensed.
