For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
JEWELER. A person whose principal business or occupation is that of manufacturing, buying, selling or otherwise trading or dealing in or with jewelry, watches, clocks, silverware, diamonds, semiprecious stones, cut glass, ivory goods, pens, umbrellas, jewelers’ supplies and materials, dental supplies and accessories, optical goods, lenses, optical or watchmaking tools or machinery or surgical instruments, or who is engaged in the business of smelting, concentrating or refining gold, silver, platinum or other precious metals.
