§ 830.02 ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS.
   (A)   Defined. For the purpose of this section, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. A person engaged in the business of installing or altering, by contract, electrical equipment for the utilization of electricity supplied for light, heat or power, not including radio apparatus or equipment for wireless reception of sounds and signals, and not including apparatus, conductors and other equipment installed for or by public utilities, including common carriers, which are under the jurisdiction of the State Commerce Commission for use in their operation as public utilities. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR does not include employees employed by the contractors to do or supervise the work.
   (B)   License required. Except as provided for in division (C) hereof, no person shall engage in the business of electrical contractor without first obtaining a license therefor.
   (C)   Contractors registered in other municipalities. Each person engaged in the business of electrical contracting who is registered in any other municipality in this state, shall post a surety or bond in the amount of $10,000 to indemnify and hold harmless the city from any and all liabilities that may result from the work to be performed in the various contracts that he or she may carry out during the year and, in addition, shall pay a registration fee of $100.
