§ 806.07 SPECIAL REGULATIONS FOR MOTION PICTURE THEATERS.
   (A)   Location; exits. No license shall be issued for any motion picture entertainment, exhibition or performance unless the same is located on the main or street floor of the building in which the same is to be given, conducted, produced, presented or offered, and unless the room or space in the building is equipped and provided with front and rear exits or openings of the regulation height and not less than three feet in width for every 50 seats. The doors closing the exists shall open outward and shall be kept unlocked during the entire performance. All exits shall be subject to the approval of the Director of Public Works or the Fire Chief.
   (B)   Aisle obstructions; projector enclosures. All motion picture theater aisles shall at all times be kept free and clear from all obstructions, and no person shall at any time sit or stand in any aisle during any performance. The machine or apparatus used in entertainment, exhibition or performance shall be enclosed in a fireproof room or compartment.
   (C)   Hours of operation. A license issued under this chapter to operate a motion picture theater shall entitle the holder thereof to produce a performance on every day of the week. However, a motion picture theater so licensed shall not present any exhibition, entertainment or performance (including live performances) that begins between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. of the next day.
   (D)   Handling and storage of film. Motion picture film kept or stored in an operating room from which motion pictures are being projected shall, in addition to being kept in the receptacle required, be placed and kept, when not in use by the operator, in a fireproof box with a tight-closing cover, leaving no exposed openings after the film is placed therein. All film, after having been used by the operator, shall be replaced in the box immediately. All motion picture film shall be kept or stored in a fireproof receptacle while being transported through or in the city. The receptacle may be constructed with metallic lining, having soldered joints, and the exterior shall be of leather, fiber or other material approved by the Director of Public Works or the Fire Chief.
