For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR. Any spirits, wine, beer, ale or other liquid containing more than 0.5% of alcohol by volume, which is fit for beverage purposes, or as defined in the Illinois Compiled Statutes.
CLUB. A corporation organized under the laws of the state, not for pecuniary profit, solely for the promotion of some common object other than the sale and consumption of alcoholic liquors, which conforms to the definition of a club provided by state statute.
RESTAURANT. A public place kept, used, maintained, advertised and held out to the public as a place where meals are actually and regularly served, without sleeping accommodations, the place being provided with adequate and sanitary kitchen and dining room equipment and capacity and having employed therein a sufficient number and kind of employees to prepare, cook and serve suitable food for guests of the place. No RESTAURANT, as defined in this definition, shall sell alcoholic liquor, except with meals.
RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE. A restaurant that has a portion of its premises, separate and apart from the restaurant facilities, which is devoted to the sale of alcoholic liquor not in connection with the serving of meals.
RETAIL SALE. A sale for use or consumption and not for further sale.
VIDEO GAMING STICKER. Sticker or other kind of insignia or device required in order to operate a video gaming terminal on any premises licensed to sell alcoholic liquors.
