Except as otherwise provided in these Codified Ordinances, a grace period of 30 days shall begin on January 1 of each year for the renewal of business licenses. If a commercial or industrial establishment fails to renew its business license by the end of the grace period (January 31), an additional fee equal to 10% of the license fee set forth in this chapter shall be charged for each month, or portion thereof, after January 31, that the license remains unrenewed. Delinquency may also result in suspension or revocation of the right to conduct commercial or industrial activities in the city.
