§ 482.14 DUTY OF POLICE UPON FINDING VIOLATIONS.
   (A)   Upon finding a vehicle parked in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, a police officer shall report:
      (1)   The number of the parking meter which indicates that the vehicle occupying the parking space adjacent to the parking meter is or has been parking in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter;
      (2)   The state license number of the vehicle;
      (3)   The time the vehicle was parking in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter; and
      (4)   Any other facts, knowledge of which is necessary to thoroughly understand the circumstances attending the violation.
   (B)   The police officer shall attach to the vehicle a notice to the owner or operator thereof that the vehicle has been parked in violation of this chapter, instructing the owner or operator to report to the Director of Local Ordinance Enforcement in regard to the violation.
