§ 268.01 APPOINTMENT; COMPOSITION; POWERS AND DUTIES.

The Council members of the City Council shall appoint a Library Board of nine members, not more than one of whom shall be a member of Council. The Board shall have the powers and shall perform the duties as provided by the Illinois Local Library Act, being ILCS Ch. 75, Act 5, §§ 1-0.1 et seq.
