Upon the expiration of their terms of office, or their resignation or removal therefrom, the Corporation Counsel, the City Attorney and the City Prosecutor shall forthwith, on demand, deliver to their successors in office all books, papers and information in their possession belonging to the city, or delivered to them by any of its officers, and all papers and information in their possession regarding actions prosecuted or defended by them then pending and undetermined, together with the register thereof and a record of the proceedings therein.
