(A) There is hereby established the office of Associate City Attorney who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
(B) The Associate City Attorney shall conduct hearings before the Liquor Control Commissioner, serves as the city’s Administrative Hearing Officer and perform other duties as may be assigned by the City Attorney, provided that the Associate City Attorney shall not render any legal opinions on behalf of or at the direction of the Mayor, City Council or any department head.
