(A) There is hereby established the position of Deputy City Clerk. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to appoint two Deputy City Clerks who shall perform those duties prescribed by law to be performed by the City Clerk when the Clerk is absent from the city and/or when delegated by the Clerk.
(B) The Deputy City Clerk, prior to assuming the duties of the office, shall execute a bond to the city as prescribed by law.
