§ 51.06 COLLECTION OF GARBAGE.
   The Town Board may contract with some suitable firm, person or corporation for the collection and removal of garbage and trash upon such terms and conditions as may, under the terms of this chapter, be deemed for the best interests of the town; provided that, any party so contracting with the town shall furnish policies of public liability and property damage insurance covering the vehicles to be used by him or her in an amount of not less than $10,000 and $20,000, respectively. Such policies of insurance are to be in companies acceptable to the town’s Clerk-Treasurer; and, provided further that, unless such a contract is duly entered into, the town shall have the right to provide for the collection and removal of garbage and trash by its own employees. Collections of garbage and trash shall be made not less than once a week from all residences in the town.
