2-2-6: RESPONSIBILITIES:
The economic development commission shall help maintain a favorable climate for economic development through:
   A.   Analyzing and measuring the implementation of the goals and objectives identified by the St. Charles Road corridor plan.
   B.   Reviewing, prioritizing and updating, as necessary, the business redevelopment "opportunity sites" as identified by the plan.
   C.   Reviewing the development of marketing strategy materials and making recommendations for additional materials and resources.
   D.   Considering and recommending potential plans related to other commercial/industrial locations in the village outside of St. Charles Road.
   E.   Studying the conditions and trends of development, advising the board of growth and potential and recommending policies and objectives for economic development efforts.
   F.   Following a board approved plan to meet with businesses to encourage and assist in locating in Berkeley.
   G.   Participating in welcoming new businesses to the village.
   H.   Preparing and recommending to the village board, from time to time, ordinance changes involving zoning, parking restrictions, licensing, or other changes which will enhance or otherwise benefit the commercial districts and activities within the village.
   I.   Undertaking such further studies and projects regarding economic development within the village as may be referred to the commission from time to time by the village board. (Ord. 05-25, 4-19-2005)
