There is hereby established a board of fire and police commissioners which shall consist of three (3) members. The members of the board shall be appointed by the village president, with the consent of the board of trustees; provided, however, that no appointment shall be made by the president within thirty (30) days before the expiration of his term of office. The board members shall elect a chair to serve during the municipal fiscal year. (2016 Code)
