Footing drains shall be connected to sump pumps, discharge shall be made into storm sewers, and swales provided in the drainage easements along the lot lines or into drywells located not closer than five feet (5') to a side yard lot line or ten feet (10') from a front or rear lot line. No footing drains or drainage tile shall be connected to the sanitary sewer system. Footing drain discharge methods are subject to review and approval by the building official. (2016 Code)
