If any part or parts of this code or any ordinances heretofore or hereafter adopted by the village board of trustees shall be held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining parts of this code or of any such ordinances. The village board of trustees hereby declares that it would have passed the remaining parts of this code and all ordinances, unless specifically provided otherwise in the ordinance, if it had known that such part or parts thereof would be declared unconstitutional or invalid.
