8-4-12: APPEALS:
   A.   Any final decision of the chief of police may be appealed to the corporate authorities by the applicant, permittee, or any person affected by the decision. Any appeal shall be filed with the village president within two (2) business days after notice of the decision. The corporate authorities shall act upon the appeal at the next regularly scheduled village board meeting held more than two (2) days and less than fourteen (14) days after the filing of the appeal. If no such meeting is scheduled or if a regularly scheduled meeting is not held within such time, the mayor shall call a special board meeting to consider and act upon the appeal within fourteen (14) days after the filing of such appeal.
   B.   In the event that the village board rejects an applicant's appeal, the applicant may file an immediate request for review with a court of competent jurisdiction; provided, however, nothing in this chapter shall be construed, nor is intended, to prevent or prohibit an applicant from seeking immediate judicial review from a denial of a permit request or from any action or inaction on the part of the village, its officers or agents.
