A. Permit Required: It is unlawful to make any excavation in any public street or alley without having first secured a permit therefor from the building department.
B. Restoration Of Excavated Area: It shall be the duty of the contractor and of the person who has obtained the permit required by this section to fill the excavation, upon completion, with material required by chapter 2 of this title and restore the surface with the same type and quality of material as that which was removed.
