Except on St. Charles Road, Wolf Road, McDermott Road, Butterfield Road and Taft Avenue south of St. Charles Road, the gross weight of vehicles and combination of vehicles including the weight of the vehicle or combination and its load on any street in the village, except those provided for above, shall not exceed ten thousand (10,000) pounds. The above described vehicle load limits shall not apply to vehicles making a delivery or picking up a load but only when the vehicle is driven on such street for not more than the minimum distance necessary for that purpose.
