7-2-106: PENALTIES:
   A.   Generally: Unless another penalty is specifically provided for a violation of any particular section of this title, any person convicted of an offense under this title shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). A person shall be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this title is committed, continued or permitted by any such person.
   B.   Class A Misdemeanor Violations: Any person convicted of an offense that is classified as a Class A misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine of not less than two hundred dollars ($200.00) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
   C.   Minor Violations:
      1.   Unless another penalty is specifically provided for in this Code, any person who is issued a complaint for a violation that has a minimum fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) or less, that is not required to appear in administrative adjudication or Circuit Court or has requested an administrative adjudication hearing within ten (10) days from the date of the citation not counting the day of issuance, may settle and compromise that citation by paying a reduced early settlement payment within the days from the date of the citation as set forth in the following schedule:

      2.   The tickets issued under this subsection C shall be as a courtesy in lieu of arrest. If the person accused of the violation does not settle the claim, a complaint or notice to appear may be issued for that violation, and the person shall be subject to the penalties set forth in subsection A of this section.
   D.   Certificates Of Title And Registration Of Vehicles Violations: Any operator of a motor vehicle subject to registration under this title who is convicted of violating section 7-3-707, adopted by reference in chapter 3 of this title, shall be required to pay a minimum fine of five hundred dollars ($500.00) but not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). However, no person charged with violating said section 7-3-707 shall be convicted if such person produces in court satisfactory evidence that at the time of the arrest the motor vehicle was covered by a liability insurance policy in accordance with section 7-7-601, adopted by reference in chapter 7 of this title.
   E.   Parking Violations:
      1.   Parking Tickets: Any person accused of a violation of chapter 11, division 2 of this title, that is not required to appear in administrative adjudication or Circuit Court or has requested an administrative adjudication hearing within ten (10) days from the date of the ticket not counting the day of issuance, may settle and compromise the claim pursuant to subsection E2 of this section.
      2.   Settlement Of Penalties: Unless another penalty is specifically provided in this title, any owner or operator who is issued a ticket for a parking violation of chapter 11, division 2, "Stopping, Standing And Parking", of this title may settle and compromise that ticket by paying the prepayment amount as set forth in the following schedule:

Alley parking violations, section 7-11-1328 of this title.

   F.   Bicycle Violations: Any person convicted of a violation of section 7-11-1517 of this title shall be punished by a minimum fine of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) or by impoundment of the violator's bicycle for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, or any combination thereof, or by a prepayment penalty of five dollars ($5.00) if paid before the offense is filed into administrative adjudication.
