ARTICLE I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
It shall be unlawful for any person to haul, drive or propel over any macadam, gravel or other hard-surfaced streets or roads in the city any disk harrow, drag harrow, tractor or tractors or any other kind of machinery, carriage, or vehicle whatsoever in such a manner as to do injury thereto. The operator of the vehicle or machinery shall operate it in a careful manner so as not to damage, injure, cut up, or disfigure any street or road.

(A) The owners or occupants of lots or property in the city shall keep their sidewalks, gutters, and utility strips in front of their respective lots in good repair. Any person who shall fail or refuse to repair the sidewalk, gutter, or utility strip within ten (10) days after being notified by the mayor or other appropriate city official to do so shall be fined as provided in § 10.099 of this Code.
(B) The owners or occupants of lots shall keep the sidewalks and gutters leading from them clean and in order. Any person who fails or refuses to clean the sidewalk, gutter, or utility strip within twenty-four (24) hours after being notified to do so by the mayor or other appropriate city official shall be fined as provided in § 10.099 of this Code. The city in its discretion may elect to repair and reconstruct existing sidewalks in residential areas at its sole cost, or at the joint cost of the city and property owner.
(C) For purposes of this § 41.101, the term “utility strip” shall mean any area between the edge of the sidewalk and the edge of the street or the back of the street curb.
(D) Nothing shall be grown or planted in utility strips except grass without the approval of the City of Berea Utility Strip Working Group.

(A) No person shall ride a skateboard on the following listed streets, the sidewalks of such streets, and certain posted public areas in the corporate limits:

(B) Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than five ($5.00) dollars nor more than five hundred ($500.00) dollars for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.

(A) No person shall stand, sit or remain on or in any public right-of-way, or on or in any public street, sidewalk, or highway for the purpose of soliciting contributions of any kind from the drivers or passengers of vehicles using the street; provided, however, this provision shall not prohibit a purely charitable organization from using right-of-way (but not streets) to give notice of off-street activities. No city permit shall be issued for charitable solicitation at any location where such solicitation is prohibited by this section.
(B) Any person, firm, or corporation violating any provision of this section shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or which a violation occurs or continues.
