§ 40.170 COVERAGE OF CARGO REQUIRED
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of any motor vehicle or truck, trailer, semi-trailer, tractor-trailer or other vehicles with a classified gross weight capacity of greater than eighteen thousand (18,000 lbs.) pounds to operate the vehicle within the corporate limits of the city while loaded with coal, any other mineral substance, or any other matter or substance susceptible to shifting or spillage, unless the cargo is covered by a tarpaulin or similar covering sufficient to prevent spillage of cargo onto the roadway.
   (B)   Any person, firm, or corporation violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than seventy-five ($75.00) dollars nor more than two hundred fifty ($250.00) dollars for each offense.
