§ 21.104 NOTICE AND TERMINATION PROCEDURE
   The city administrator may be terminated without cause by the mayor. In such event the city administrator shall be given written notice of the termination six (6) months in advance of the effective termination date. The terminating authority shall share the option of purchasing all, some, or none of the time between the notice and the final date of termination. Conviction of an illegal act involving personal gain for the administrator will be grounds for immediate dismissal. The administrator shall provide written notice of voluntary resignation to the council at least sixty (60) days in advance. In neither of the last two (2) eventualities shall the city administrator be entitled to receive any additional compensation.

§ 21.105 OATH, BOND REQUIRED
   The city administrator shall take the constitutional oath and execute a fidelity bond, with one or more sureties approved by the city council, before taking office.

ARTICLE III. CITY CLERK
§ 21.200 OFFICE CREATED
   The office of the city clerk is hereby established as a separate office for the city. The city clerk shall be compensated at a rate of pay to be established by the city council in the annual budget ordinance.

§ 21.201 OATH; BOND REQUIRED
   The city clerk shall take the constitutional oath and shall execute a bond, with one or more sureties approved by the city council, before taking office.

§ 21.202 DUTIES
   The city clerk shall perform the following duties:
   (A)   Attend all meetings of the city council and keep a true record of its proceedings;
   (B)   Attend all meetings of other city boards and commissions as may be required by the city council, and keep true records of the proceedings;
   (C)   Promptly present to the mayor for his/her consideration and action, all ordinances and resolutions passed by the city council, and note the action of the mayor;
   (D)   Have custody of, maintain and register by number, date and contents the public records of the city, including the original copies of city ordinances, all original and other copies of contracts, deeds and certificates relative to the title of any property of the city, and any other records, papers or documents of value not required to be deposited in any other office;
   (E)   Performance of the duties required of the "official custodian" or "custodian" pursuant to KRS 61.870 through 61.882, and Chapter 28 of this code;
   (F)   Keep the seal of the city, and affix it when required by law; and attest, by his/her signature, all public instruments and official acts of the city;
   (G)   Perform the clerical work, including typing and filing, as required by the mayor, administrator/coordinator, or treasurer and generally receive and attend to persons having business with the city; and
   (H)   No later than January 31 of each year, mail to the Department of Local Government, a list containing current city information including, but not limited to, the following:
      (1)   The correct name of the mayor, legislative body members, and the following appointed officials who are serving as of January 1 of each year:
         (a)   City Clerk;
         (b)   City Treasurer;
         (c)   City Manager;
         (d)   City Attorney;
         (e)   Finance Director;
         (f)   Police Chief;
         (g)   Fire Chief; and
         (h)   Public Works Director.
      (2)   The correct name of the city, mailing address for City Hall, and telephone number of City Hall; and
      (3)   The name and telephone number of either an elected or appointed official to serve as a contact person that may be reached during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
   (I)   Perform such other duties as may be required by the city council by ordinance, or by the mayor, or as required by KRS 83A.085 or any other applicable state statute.

ARTICLE IV. CITY TREASURER
§ 21.300 OFFICE CREATED
   The office of city treasurer is hereby established as a separate office for the city. The city treasurer shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of city council.
