(a) Every full-time employee of the Village is eligible to enroll in the Village group hospitalization plan for either single member or family coverage, depending on his or her status. Spouses of full-time employees shall be required to utilize the health insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage offered to them by their employer or public or private retirement plan. If the spouse's employer or retirement plan does not offer health insurance coverage, the spouse may then utilize the Village's health care plan.
(b) Employees are eligible to enroll in the group hospitalization plan on the first day of the month following the fulfilling of 30 calendar days of employment with the Village.
(c) The Village Council shall determine the coverage, the plan, and required contributions from the employee, if any, for this benefit.
(d) Village Council requires that all employees receiving health care benefits shall be required to contribute twelve and one-half percent of the premium for health insurance on a pre-tax basis.
