(a) All Village full-time employees called to jury duty are entitled to a leave of absence from their respective duties for such time as they are on jury duty, but not exceeding 15 days in any calendar year. Required jury duty beyond 15 days shall result in the employee being on unpaid leave status.
(b) If an employee's duty pay or compensation during such leave of absence is less than his or her Village pay would have been for the same period, the employee will be paid by the Village the difference in money between the Village pay and the jury duty pay for such period.
(c) In order to receive any leave pay the employee must submit to the Mayor a receipt showing the amount of the jury fee received. Time spent on jury service will not be deducted in calculating the amount of sick leave and vacation earned.
