(a) Every full-time employee of the Village is entitled to receive compensation for the following holidays:
(1) New Year's Day
(2) President's Day
(3) Memorial Day
(4) Independence Day
(5) Labor Day
(6) Veteran's Day
(7) Thanksgiving Day
(8) Christmas Day
(9) Juneteenth Day
(b) Wages for holidays are computed on the basis of an eight-hour day at the employee's existing rate of compensation. Full-time employees are to use the above holidays and any personal days granted within the year in which they fall or the same shall be forfeited. An employee may not obtain cash in lieu of the holidays or personal days.
(c) Part-time employees are not entitled to paid holidays. Part-time employees working on holidays will be paid for the hours worked at straight time. The exception will be Service Department personnel who will be paid at one and one-half times normal hourly rates.
