The Mayor, as chief executive officer of the Village of Bentleyville, shall have the authority to make purchases from time to time for and on behalf of the various departments of the Village in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for each purchase. Council will be notified by the Mayor of these expenditures within 48 hours. The total amount of expenditures made by the Mayor pursuant to this section shall not exceed thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) per fiscal year.
