A. Village Datum: The base or datum for the Village levels is hereby established and located at the horizontal plane of 667.28 feet (USGS) above sea level, at the chiseled square on the northeast corner of the concrete base of the first light standard west of Church Road in the Village Hall parking lot.
B. Reference For All Grades: All grades hereafter fixed or established shall have reference to the base or datum plane herein and hereby established.
C. Permission Required, Change Grade: The establishment of any grade shall not be construed to confer any power on any person to fill, raise or lower any street or sidewalk without having first obtained permission so to do from the Board of Trustees. (1976 Code § 6.01)
