Any person who violates any of the provisions of or who fails to perform any duty imposed by this Chapter, or who violates any terms or orders of the pollution control officer promulgated pursuant to this Chapter, shall be liable to a penalty of not to exceed the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each violation, and an additional penalty of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each day during which the violation continues, or by imprisonment in the County jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment, and in addition thereto, such person may be enjoined from continuing such violation as hereinafter provided.
After one conviction for any violation of the terms and provisions of this Chapter, the Board of Trustees may suspend, for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, the license of any Village licensed business so convicted. After two (2) convictions for violation of the terms and provisions of this Chapter, the Board of Trustees may revoke the license of any Village licensed business so convicted. Such suspension or revocation may be in addition to any other penalty which is provided herein. (1976 Code § 15.15)
