(A) The Council may determine those portions of any street where overtaking and passing a vehicle proceeding in the same direction or driving to the left of the roadway would be especially hazardous and may, by appropriate signs or markings on the roadway, indicate the beginning and end of the zones. When the signs or markings are in place and clearly visible to an ordinarily observant person, every driver of a vehicle shall obey the directions thereof. ('88 Code, § 18.216)
(B) Drivers of vehicles proceeding in opposite directions, passing on the left and on the right of other vehicles shall conform with S.C. Code §§ 56-5-1810, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1880. ('88 Code, § 18.233)
(C) It shall be unlawful for any vehicle to pass another vehicle proceeding in the same direction when the passing vehicle is within 100 feet of an intersection, approaching a curve, when a solid yellow line is located in the lane of the passing vehicle or upon a hill or grade. ('88 Code, § 18.501)
