§ 56.18 STORM WATER SURFACE DRAINAGE; PROCESS AND COOLING WATERS.
   (A)   No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any storm water, surface water, uncontaminated groundwater, roof runoff or subsurface drainage, to any public sanitary sewer. The waters shall be admitted only to the sewers as are specifically designated as storm sewers or storm drains. No person shall maintain or make a connection of roof downspouts, exterior foundation drains, areaway drains or other sources of surface runoff or groundwater to a building or indirectly to a public sanitary sewer.
   (B)   Unpolluted process and noncontact cooling water may, upon written application to the city and SCDHEC and approval by the control authority, be discharged to storm sewers or storm drains.
   (C)   Corrections of violations of this section shall be required with a reasonable time schedule determined by the control authority. The time schedule shall be based upon the severity of the violation and its impact upon the wastewater system.
