§ 30.100 COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Community Redevelopment Authority of the city, pursuant to Neb. RS 18-2102.01.
   (B)   The Community Redevelopment Authority of the city shall have all of the powers set forth in Neb. RS 18-2101 through 18-2154 and any additional powers granted by the legislature of the state from time to time for community redevelopment authorities.
   (C)   The affairs of the Community Redevelopment Authority of the city shall be administered by members of the Authority appointed by the Mayor of the city or, if the Mayor shall fail to act within 90 days after the passage of this section, the President or other presiding officer other than the Mayor of the governing body, with the approval of the governing body of the city, shall appoint five persons who shall constitute the Authority. The terms of office of the members of a five-member Authority initially appointed shall be for one year, two years, three years, four years, and five years, as designated by the Mayor, President, other presiding officer, or City Manager in making the respective appointments. As the terms of the members of the authority expire, the Mayor, with the approval of the governing body of the city, shall appoint or reappoint a member of the authority for a term of five years to succeed the member whose term expires.
   (D)   The Community Redevelopment Authority of the city, at its organizational meeting each year, shall elect a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and shall have the power to employ counsel and a director and such other officers and employees as may be desired.
