8-5-3: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
RECREATIONAL LAND: Rural land used in conjunction with recreation but not individual homesites. Includes vacant recreational land, which is vacant rural land used for recreational purposes but not individual homesites and improved recreational land which is rural land with improvements, including exempt improvements, used for recreational purposes on that land but not individual homesites.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE (RV): A motor home, travel trailer, truck camper or camping trailer, with or without motor power, designed for human habitation for recreational or emergency occupancy. Buses or van type vehicles which are converted to recreational use are also defined as recreational vehicles.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARK: A parcel of land upon which is established or maintained for rent or lease for occupancy by three (3) or more recreational vehicles for temporary use for seasonal, recreation or vacation purposes. The park includes all buildings and open space used or intended for use as part of the facilities.
SERVICE BUILDING: A building housing toilets, laundry or other sanitary facilities.
SITE: A location on recreational land which contains utility hookups (water, sewer and/or electric) or otherwise designated RV pad(s). Each parcel of recreational land is defined to contain at least one recreational site, whether or not it contains utility hookups or a designated RV pad. Additional sites are identified by additional hookups or by additional designated RV pads, or in the absence of hookups or designated RV pads, by each clearly identifiable area in which a recreational vehicle or structure is regularly located.
