§ 31.51 VILLAGE COLLECTOR.
   (A)   Creation of office. The position of Village Collector is hereby created, effective May 1, 2025.
   (B)   Appointment and term. The Village Collector shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, in accordance with ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 3.1-30-5. The Village Collector shall serve for a term of one year.
   (C)   Duties. The Village Collector, under the supervision of the Village President, shall perform the required statutory duties along with any other duties assigned from time-to-time by the Village President.
   (D)   Additional duties. In addition to the duties provided in this section, the Village Collector shall perform such other duties and functions as may be required by statute or by the provisions of this code or other ordinances of the village.
   (E)   Reporting responsibility. The Village Collector shall report directly to the Village President.
