§ 122.26 TOWER AND ANTENNA DESIGN REQUIREMENTS.
Proposed or modified towers and personal wireless telecommunications facilities antennas shall meet the following design requirements.
   (A)   Personal wireless telecommunication service towers shall be of a monopole design unless the Village Board determines that an alternate design would better blend into the surrounding environment.
   (B)   Towers and personal wireless telecom- munications facilities shall be designed to blend into the surrounding environment through the use of color or camouflaging architectural treatment, where possible. A tower shall be painted a single, neutral color and shall be well maintained at all times.
   (C)   Towers shall not be illuminated by artificial means and shall not display strobe lights unless such lights are specifically required by a federal or state authority. When incorporated into the approved design of the tower, light fixtures used to illuminate ball fields, parking lots or similar areas may be attached to the tower.
   (D)   Site location and development shall preserve the existing character of the site as much as possible. Existing vegetation must be preserved or improved, and disturbance of the existing topography of the site must be minimized. All ground-mounted facilities and equipment shall be enclosed with a solid six-foot high fence. Landscaping shall be required to screen as much of the support structure as possible, the fence surrounding the support structure and any other ground level features.
