For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ANTENNA SITE. Any site upon which or to which an antenna or other personal wireless telecom- munications facility is currently affixed.
ANTENNA SUPPORT STRUCTURE. Any building or structure other than a tower which can be used for location of personal wireless telecommunications facilities.
ENGINEER. Any engineer licensed by the State of Illinois.
PERSONAL WIRELESS SERVICE. This term shall be defined in the same manner as in 47 U.S.C. § 332(c)(7)(C), as amended now or in the future. Generally, this term refers to licensed commercial wireless telecommunication services, including cellular, personal communication services (PCS), specialized mobile radio (SMR), enhanced specialized mobile radio (ESMR) and paging and similar services that are marketed to the general public.
PERSONAL WIRELESS TELECOM- MUNICATIONS FACILITIES. Any cables, wires, lines, wave guides, antennas and any other equipment or facilities associated with the transmission or reception of communications for personal wireless services.
TOWER. A self-supporting lattice, guyed or monopole structure which supports personal wireless telecommunications facilities. The term tower shall not include amateur radio operators’ equipment, as licensed by the Federal Communications Commission.
