For the purpose of this subchapter the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
NURSING HOME. Any institution, place or family used for the reception or care, for a longer period than 24 hours, of three or more children or infants apart from their parents. A NURSING HOME is also any institution used for the reception or care of persons who are dependent or not capable of properly caring for themselves, and shall include homes for aged or infirm, orphan asylums, refuges and shelters, and also boarding homes caring for three or more women with their children when such children are less than 14 years of age.
