§ 110.34 SECURITY CAMERAS.
   (A)   Security requirements. Within six months of the effective date of this section, every convenience store, convenience food store, grocery store, mini-mart, gasoline station, and off sale liquor or tobacco store open to the public after 11:00 p.m. shall, at its own expense, install a security camera of a type, number and placement approved by the Police Department such that live video shall be transmitted to the Police Department.
   (B)   Camera requirements. The camera(s) must be capable of producing a retrievable image on digital video that can be utilized to wirelessly transport and terminate video from a surveillance camera to a designated village fiber infrastructure location. Cameras required by this section shall be capable of providing a suitable supporting structure for the purpose of capturing and relaying real time visual representation of the environment around the surveillance camera installation. Said equipment shall be maintained in proper working order at all times during all hours of operation of the business.
   (C)   Signage required. Establishments required to install cameras under this section shall post a conspicuous sign which states that the property is under camera surveillance and shall submit annually to the village a certificate of compliance with this section.
   (D)   Minimum standards. The Police Department shall have the authority to promulgate reasonable rules to fully implement this section. Cameras required under this section shall be subject to periodic inspections by the Police Department, with reasonable notice of such inspection.
   (E)   Penalty. The failure to adequately implement this section by installing a suitable surveillance camera shall be grounds for suspension or revocation of the business license for the premises.
