§ 100.058 RIGHT-OF-WAY LANDSCAPING STANDARDS.
   (A)   Applicability. Where a parcel abuts a dedicated public right-of-way, landscaping shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of this section.
   (B)   Graded and sodded. The unpaved portion of public right-of-way abutting a parcel shall be fine graded and sodded using salt tolerant sod.
   (C)   Street trees.
      (1)   Contribution. Prior to the issuance of a land development permit, the petitioner shall make a cash contribution to the village in lieu of installing street trees. This figure is based on the total frontage and a unit cost based per lineal foot, with street trees spaced at 40 foot intervals.
      (2)   Area. Street tree planting areas shall be a minimum of 120 square feet in area. Such landscaping shall be a minimum of eight feet in width, or as approved by the Director of Public Works, as measured from back of curb to edge of sidewalk.
      (3)   Planting. Street trees shall be provided and installed by the Public Works Department.
      (4)   Other landscape material. No plant material other than turf or trees, or as approved by the Director of Public Works may be located in a dedicated public right-of-way.
