(A) In the event that it can be demonstrated that existing vegetation meets the intent of the screening requirements of this subchapter, existing vegetation may be credited for landscape materials required by this section. If any of the vegetation dies, the developer shall be required to install the plant materials according to the standards of this subchapter as determined by the Director of Planning or his or her authorized designee. Said plant material shall be guaranteed for one year from the time of final acceptance by the village landscape planner.
(B) Required screening shall not be disturbed for any reason except for required walks, driveways, pedestrian or bicycle paths, fences or public utilities.
