The Fire Chief shall have the authority to send fire equipment and personnel outside the corporate limits of the village whenever requested to do so by the officers or authorities of any municipality, fire protection district, industrial district or other property lying within a radius of ten miles of the village; provided, that the fire equipment and personnel can be spared from service at the time the request is made.
